This was my first time to Australia, so naturally I had to time my visit so I could attend the bi-annual Australian International Airshow held at Avalon, Victoria. This was an amazing show with so many things I have never seen before (Tiger, Roulettes, Caribou and of course the F-111 dump and burn, to name but a few....). This show was extremely well supported by the Australian military with most types flying in the show and pretty much everything represented in the static display. The weather was all over the map, ranging from sunny and 31C, to insane winds and 35C, to showers and 17C. Was a great time and I will post a lot of images here from the four days I was there. Below (and on pages 2 and) are photographs from my first two days there. These were trade days however a number of performers flew during those days as well as a number of arrivals of participants. The Friday evening was the first show of the weekend open to the public and included F/A-18s releasing flares as well as the incredible F-111 dump and burn.
