The morning launch on media day began about an hour before we were to meet for the Maple Flag Media Day activities. I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the media day as a photographer for the Abbotsford International Airshow. As we were there early we headed to the public viewing area at the end of the runway to catch some early departures. It is a great location, although the aircraft weren't as close as I'd have liked. Some cropping of the images made for better results. Below are some images of the first aircraft to get airborne for the morning exercise.
