The 2003 airshow at McChord was the first without the home-based C-141 Starlifter (there was one on static but it was likely not operational). Its successor, the C-17 Globemaster III, however, was very prominent in the show. As always, the show begins with the airfield assault. Three C-17s took part, one dropping cargo and the other two Army rangers. Later in the show one aircraft performed a tactical demo.
