The Future of Flight Museum at Paine Field in Everett, WA hosted the second annual Vintage Aircraft Weekend on the last weekend of September. There were at least 60 aircraft on the ground for viewing and numerous flights during the day. The highlight, for me, had to be the PBY-6A Catalina that was on display and also took to the air for an impressive flying display. Some of the other flying highlights included the Heritage Flight Museums's P-51 Mustang and A-1 Skyraider, the Historic Flight Foundation's P-51 Mustang and F7F Tigercat and the Flying Heritage Collection's Fi 156 Storch. We also passed by a P-3 Orion in the circuit at NAS Whidbey Island on our journey south from Abbotsford. A couple photos of the Orion start off the photo set below....an interesting perspective.
