Both the military and civilian components of the flying display were very good. Many acts, though, never got into the air on Sunday due to very persistent fog coming in off the ocean. Saturday, however, featured a full schedule including TAC demos by a F-15 Eagle, F/A-18 Hornet and P-3 Orion. There was a USAF Heritage Flight (F-15/P-51) and a Navy Legacy Flight (F/A-18F/F8F Bearcat). There was also flybys by a F-117 and B-1B. NAS Whidbey Island was well represented in the skies as well with a fleet flyby of 3 P-3s and 4 EA-6Bs, a two-ship EA-6B Prowler demo and a SH-3H Sea King SAR demo. Images of the Whidbey based aircraft can be found on a separate page.
Headlining the civilian component of the show was Wayne Handley in his Raven. I was not aware that he was back flying on the airshow circuit. He did not look like he had ever left. Wayne Handley was a last minute addition to replace Greg Poe, who had to cancel. Other civilian highlights included performances by Eddie Andreini and the Cascade Warbirds.
