Both the US Navy and the USAF were well represented in the static displays at the show. Below are a selection of images of some of the aircraft in attendance from the US military.

Note the extreme fog conditions that set in during the afternoon on the second day of the show. I wonder why the Thunderbirds did not fly that day... Especially frustrating since less then a mile away it was clear blue skies as far as the eye could see. For a good part of the day we were actually sitting in the sunshine while the fog bank just hovered along the showline. The photograph was taken later in the afternoon after the fog stengthened and crept in over the base erasing any hope of a Thunderbird performance.

This US Marine Corps C-9 arrived during the delay before the eventual Thunderbirds cancellation on Sunday. I don't recall the exact mission associated with the aircraft, but if I recall correctly it was in support of the on-going fight against terrorism.
